VRAŠČANJE / INGROWTH (botanic records 006)
Ana Kravanja - violin, Marko Karlovčec - sax
Duet
violinistke Ane Kravanja in saksofonista Marka Karlovčeca se umešča
v široko pokrajino sodobne ne-idiomatske improvizacije. Znotraj
njega je moč zaznati tako zasledovanje lastnega izraza kot tudi
spontano mreženje in večplastne načine interakcije.
Vzniki krhkih in detajliranih konfiguracij, razširjene tehnike,
plastenja in minimalistična brnenja, tišina in nasičenost, zvoki
okolja in parazitski odzveni tvorijo tok zvočenja, ki je hkrati
neposreden in skrivnosten.

The
duo of violin player Ana Kravanja and saxohonist Marko Karlovčec
positions itself somewhere in the vast fields of contemporary
non-idiomatic improvisation where you can sense both the drive
towards a personal expression and multi-layered ways of interaction.
"Vraščanje / Ingrowth" was completely recorded outdoors,
on different locations from forests to caves. It is a raw document of
their playing which enters these sound-place environments through
breath and touch. Emerging delicate and detailed
configurations, extended techniques, layerings and minimal droning,
silence and saturation, sounds of the environment and parasite
resonances all generate a sound current which is both immediate and
mysterious.
